You can't disable StealthMode unless you change the BIOS settings to have it always on the dual SLIs. But you have to consider the fact that when you'll need your laptop to work on battery more than 30 minutes, you will have to change it back first :)Cosmin Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17415886890399367062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7587525392434281793.post-71364949904520472592010-05-09T09:30:32.918-07:002010-05-09T09:30:32.918-07:00Hey, I really need this program but it won't w...Hey, I really need this program but it won't work with Windows 7 64 bit.

I can't figure out how to disable the stealth mode so this would really be appreciatedUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02318404471513868463noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7587525392434281793.post-77537983406790356952010-03-11T00:28:10.724-08:002010-03-11T00:28:10.724-08:00Hey,
From the register script tag I realize you w...Hey,

From the register script tag I realize you want to do some ASP.Net async voodoo-magic. :)
Well, based on the ASP.Net lifecycle (do some research on that first) the request arrives from the client on your server, you handle it, then the response goes back, and that's it.
When you register a script you actually include some jscript in the response which gets executed when the response completes to be transfered from the server to the client browser.

You are trying here to split the threading on the arrival of the request serverside to do something else (in this case throw an exception).
But, the actual register script can't work because you are no longer on the thread that managed the request/response and the response is long well sent and discarded to the client. (e.g. the lifecycle ended and you don't have a way to push things to the client based on classic http model).

You can do some manual polling by rechecking with some Jscript/Ajax from the client browser, when the request is completed. (that is, when the asynch callback is called, store in some place the result of the action and then at some hearbeat intervals, you call from client with ajax/jscript other method from server that checks the result).

Hope that makes sense.Cosmin Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17415886890399367062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7587525392434281793.post-42398098762968270442010-03-10T22:11:57.586-08:002010-03-10T22:11:57.586-08:00Hello, below is my code, but Message box does not ...Hello, below is my code, but Message box does not show up.
please give me some advice.

public delegate void AsyncDelegateMethod(string tmp);
public void Method(string tmp)
{
throw new Exception(tmp);
}
public void GetException(IAsyncResult isr)
{
try
{
AsyncDelegateMethod asm = (AsyncDelegateMethod)isr.AsyncState;
asm.EndInvoke(isr);
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
ShowMessage(this.Page, ex.Message.Trim());
}

}
protected static void ShowMessage(Page aPage, string aMessage)
{
ScriptManager.RegisterStartupScript(aPage, typeof(UpdatePanel), "aaa", "alert('" + aMessage + "')", false);
}

protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
AsyncDelegateMethod adelt = new AsyncDelegateMethod(Method);
AsyncCallback acb = new AsyncCallback(GetException);
IAsyncResult iasr = adelt.BeginInvoke("123", acb, adelt);
}Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7587525392434281793.post-21993068376953778292010-02-20T11:25:07.917-08:002010-02-20T11:25:07.917-08:00Hey Cosmin, Thank you very much for your app I hav...Hey Cosmin, Thank you very much for your app I haven't tried it but it seems that it fixes the issue.
Alienware has replaced the touch part on the very top of the laptop maybe like 2 times now, but still didn't work..I believe its not from the Windows 7 its from the poor quality of the part its self..it works when it wants to work or most of times never works!

Anyway, now they have replaced my system with a new one..its working fine But the laptop they sent is not the same specifications! the RAM I originally ordered is 1333MHz but they send me a 1066MHz lol they are trying to steal my money or what! The performance should boost when you are on full power mode and should be as stealth when on shit mode (oh reverse the two s words, it was on purpose :P). What my app doesn't do is to switch the videocards (from the one onboard to the SLI ones if you bought them). You can do that manually from the BIOS graphic settings panel mode.

Also, see if when you press the volume buttons, the window with volume animation appears (blue speaker with a volume scale). I think that is displayed too by OSD_Main app.

See if OSD_Main application is running and if it doesn't make sure you run it with Administrator rights (right click - run as admin).

Wait for your answers.Cosmin Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17415886890399367062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7587525392434281793.post-91391835686509519892009-12-03T17:08:55.717-08:002009-12-03T17:08:55.717-08:00Thank you for this important post :)
